Understanding Aragon

One of the Aragon favorite play is to move sticks from one place to another. He has it done since ever and no matter what we still do not understand what is the deal with that.

Eduardo also does not understand much about the thing, but as a first approach he gave a close look to the situation.
The next step was to imitate.

Mornings

Edu keeps growing up, leaving behind the baby-like behavior and adopting a child-like one.

First, he used to cry when he woke up alone. Afterwards, he used to call us after waking up (mooooom, daaaaaaaad, rorroooooo!!!)

Now, he wakes up, takes his pillow and comes into our bedroom :)

PS: Sorry for the blurry pictures. It was dark and they were taken with the iPhone camera

A small step for Edu

Edu plays locking himself with some of us in the bathroom and leaving the other one outside. He pushes the door, turns around and says:
"where is he/she?"

The one locked inside with him should say:
"I don't know where dad/mom/Aragon is",

followed by opening the door, so that Edu can point at the one left outside and say:
"there he/she is!"

This Saturday the game changed a little, since he did not wait until we opened the door. Instead, he turned around and pull the doorknob down.

Then he let the doorknob go,

opened the door,

turned around and told me:
"tchüss!"

Let the mixing starts

Eduardo has started talking in phrases, some days more than others. Somethings he says always in Spanish, others always in German, And now he has started mixing.

Small terminology explanation:
the ball is called "la pelota" in Spanish and "der Ball" in German
Aragon has the nickname "Cachorrorro" which for Eduardo is only "Rorro"

Now to the point: Eduardo's phrases during three days in a row

Day 1: "Rorro, der Ball"
Day 2: "Rorro, la Ball"
Day 3: "Rorro, la lalota"

With new hat

This weekend we had again very nice spring weather, so that here are new pictures of Edu and Aragon playing outside.

One thing about the seasons is that children need not only clothes but also accesories for all types of weather. Now Edu needed a hat that is not very warm, but warmer than a baseball cap.

Our solution to this problem: a hat-cap (or cap-hat?) ;)

The grill season has started

It was finally a sunny weekend day. That leaves only one option: to grill!!!!

Last saturday we had a great time with Yeny and Joao. We ate and we played. Eduardo and Aragon played with dirt, while the grown-ups played domino and cards.

Meat, domino, sun and bear... a venezuelan afternoon :)

A home made photo shooting

During the photoshooting for his first passport pictures Edu was 1 and a half months old. The difficulty there was to take pictures where his eyes were open.

That was nothing compared to the photoshooting for the Visa now that he is 21 months old. We got one nice shot after more than 50 not-so-good ones.

Here is a collage with the cutest trials :)

A very special morning

This morning Eduardo woke up and, after playing for a while alone in his room, he took his pillow and came to our bedroom. So cute. He is already a little boy :)

As a reward, we gave him his milk bottle to drink in our bed.

Welcome

Ok, we decided to welcome you in the second post. This is more original than doing so in the first one, you have to give us that.

For some years now we have been running our blog in Spanish, so that we can share our everyday with our loved ones far away.

Now that we will be moving away from Geesthacht and leaving behind a huge part of our lives, the idea of having a parallel English version came to our minds.

We hope that you enjoy it as much as we do!
